Privacy Policy

The short version

This site does not ask you for your name, email address or any other personal detail, and it does not sell data to data brokers. It measures, in aggregate, how many people read which articles. It uses Google AdSense to show advertising, and Google and its partners may use cookies to serve and measure those ads, as described below.

What is collected

Aggregate traffic measurement. Terapep uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and see which articles people read. It records things like the page visited, the referring site, and a coarse country, device type and browser. It does not use cookies, and it does not build a profile of you or follow you to other websites.

Advertising. Ads on this site are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set and read cookies or similar identifiers in your browser to serve ads, limit how often you see them and measure their performance. See “Advertising and cookies” below.

Standard server logs. Like every website, requests reach a server before a page can be sent back. Our host, Vercel, processes those requests and may retain technical logs — including IP addresses — for a limited period to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

What is not collected

• No accounts, logins or passwords — there is nothing to sign up for.
• No comment section, contact form or newsletter, so no email addresses are gathered.
• No payments, and therefore no billing or card details.

Advertising and cookies

Terapep uses Google AdSense, an advertising service provided by Google, to display ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

• You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You can opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
• How Google uses information from sites that use its services: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent through a Google-certified consent message before advertising cookies are used, and can change that choice later from the same message. Ads are labelled as advertising and do not influence what is written here.

Who processes data

• Vercel — hosting, content delivery and the aggregate analytics described above.
• Supabase — the database that stores the articles themselves. It holds published content, not information about readers.
• Google — advertising through Google AdSense, as described above.

Vercel and Supabase act as service providers for this site. Google processes advertising data under its own privacy policy.

Links to other sites

Articles link out to news outlets, official company pages and online stores so you can check sources or find a product. Once you follow a link you are on someone else's site, under their privacy policy — not this one. Links in articles are provided for reference and are not paid placements.

Images

Article images are either our own or used under free licences, and licensed images are credited with their author and licence in the article.

Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of personalised ads with the links above, or block analytics and ads with a content blocker — the site will still work normally. The site itself holds no account or profile about you. If you want to ask what is held about you, or ask for something to be removed, write to help@terapep.com and we will respond.

Children

This site is written for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be described here rather than made quietly.
